Paul van Hagen joined the iSTAR Medical team as CFO in June 2021 with over 20 years of financial management expertise, of which the last ten years has been with life science companies.
Prior to joining iSTAR Medical, Paul has been involved in a number of private and public financings and strategic transactions, including both public offerings and M&A. Paul was responsible for the Finance function of Kiadis Pharma, a Euronext listed Company in the Netherlands, where he was instrumental in fundraising and M&A activities. Before Kiadis, Paul provided financial advice to various companies in the life science industry and served as chief financial officer of Xeltis, a medical device company. Prior to Xeltis, he held senior financial management positions at Prosensa and Crucell, both publicly listed companies. Paul also worked as a senior manager with EY and was responsible for various international audit engagements.
Paul is a certified public accountant and holds a Masters degree in Business Economics and an MBA from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Paul speaks fluent Dutch and English.
