Interim three-year data on iSTAR Medical’s Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) device MINIjectTM will be presented at the World Glaucoma Congress WGC-21, virtually hosted by the Japan Glaucoma Society between 30th June and 3rd July.
The presentation by Doctor Ike Ahmed, University of Toronto (Canada), a global leading authority in MIGS and one of the trial surgeons, will take place during the Rapid Fire Session 1 on Thursday 1st July at 6:15pm CET. Dr Ahmed will share three-year interim results from the ongoing STAR-GLOBAL study, an extension study which follows MINIject patients from iSTAR Medical clinical trials until five years post-implantation.
In addition, longer-term results from the European STAR-II trial will also feature at WGC-21 in a poster presentation by Professor Julián García Feijoó, Hospital Clinico San Carlos, Complutense University, Madrid (Spain).
WGC-2021 will offer educational exchanges, scientific news, and best practice updates. The congress will cover topics from basic science and genetics of glaucoma, to the latest developments in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma.
