Dr Singh is Racine & Kenosha counties’ only Glaucoma Specialist. He starting practicing there in 2004 after joining The Eye Centers of Racine and Kenosha, which was founded in 1981 by his father, Dr. Kanwar A. Singh. He is also Clinical Professor at The Chicago Medical School.
Dr Singh has been extensively involved with clinical research and has published papers as principle author in several ophthalmology journals such as Journal of Glaucoma, AAO (eye health), Ophthalmology Times, and more. He has also presented his research at various national meetings and universities and achieved Best Paper at ASCRS for his presentation on YAG Laser. Dr Singh was the first Ophthalmologist in the states of Wisconsin and Illinois to implant the iStent and Hydrus glaucoma drainage devices, perform viscodilation and trabeculotomy with the OMNI device, and goniotomy with the Kahook Dual Blade.
Dr Singh is a member of several societies and groups. In particular, he is Founder and President of the International Ophthalmic Floater Society (IOFS) and on the Board of Directors for The Glaucoma Forum. Dr Singh is also on the editorial boards for the journals Glaucoma Today and Glaucoma Physician.
Dr Singh completed his fellowship in Glaucoma at Duke University in July 2004, his residency at Cook County Hospital – Division of Ophthalmology, and his internship at Michael Reese Hospital – Department of Medicine, both in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Finch University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School in 1999.
